"Flower of Evil", completed in July 1996, is a natural outcome of the previous
CD, "Time for Freedom" (1994). Almost all the tracks in the album were composed
by Tiboni-Persichetti, but the entire band worked on the arrangements.
The band consists of five experienced musicians, each having played for years
with various other groups.
- Paolo Persichetti - Vocals
- G. Maria Tiboni - Rhythm Guitar
- Giuseppe Tramentozzi - Lead Guitar
- Roberto Ragno - Drums
- Carlo Parascandolo - Electric Bass
In "Flower of Evil" the band attempted to bring together, as much as possible,
all the musical influences of each of its members. If a label was needed, their
style could be described as "FM Rock". The CD includes pieces that are
typically Hard Rock ("Out of Control", "Desperation"); others that ate more
atmospheric ("The Day After", "Flower of Evil"), and still others more tinged
with blues ("Changes").
Unlike "Time for Freedom", distributed by IM Records, this Cd was independently
realized by all band members - with no help or participation by outside
producers - from the songwriting, to the final selections of tracks, to the
printing of the final cut. On the other hand, much appreciated in the studio
was the presence of Carlo Giardina. Carlo assisted with the recording and
mixing of the CD both as a friend and an expert in the field, having worked
with Pino Daniele, Tullio De Piscopo, and other major Italian musicians.
